With my friend’s reference, I booked a four-day stay at this hidden gem of a village called Echey Gaon, away from the Darjeeling crowd. I wanted to soak up Nature at its purest form. This place reminded me of beautiful national parks in the US. The bonus was the local touch of hospitality and big smiles! Gourab hosted our stay, taking care of everything, including trips to nearby attractions. The freshly cooked meals and the local spring water adds to the special touch. We opted for the add-on meal plan with very reasonable extra cost, but 100% worth it. We came to relax and it was a good decision! In my next visit to Calcutta, I’ll definitely revisit and stay with them.
